What We’ve Been Playing: 01/08/10

Mainly this week I’ve been playing Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle Cars online. I have put a lot of hours into single player matches on this game so I decided to try the online. It’s quite good except there can be a few connection problems and some lag, but overall it’s very playable. I also had a very short play on Toy Story 3: The Video Game with a friend. The co-op in that game is a bit odd, it’s just the same as single play but with 2 people making it quite boring as I knew how to solve all of the puzzles and there was no sense of cooperation, we just got in each others’ way.

This week has been mainly EarthWorm Jim HD on PS3 for me.  It is indeed a Groovy game, and a testament to my mispent youth that I remember with acute clarity the first level of the original, but cannot for the life of me remember how to get the circumference of a circle (shows to go the importance of High School maths in the real world eh?).  But I also had a little game of Deathspank, and I played DeathSpank on my PS3 (oh-ho, witty, no?).  Tekken 6 caused much rage and swearing as you may have seen on twitter, and Pokemon SoulSilver has been a bit of late night entertainment for me.

This week it’s been Pokemon Soulsilver seriously these games should come with addiction warnings! Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii (expect a comprehensive review soon, one of these dino’s does look like my mum though.  Plus a bit of Lumines II on the PSP, listening to music I’ve never heard of before Bottle Rocket and Black Tambourine anyone?
