Guide: How To Record SD Gameplay With Dazzle

Ever wanted to make funny videos, helpful tutorials or montages of your favourite game and upload it to show the world what you’ve got? Well you’re in luck because we have a guide to help you set up and record your own gameplay.

Before you start

Make sure you have:
A laptop (or a computer near your TV and console)
A Dazzle Video Recorder or an EasyCap
3 x Phono Y-splitters
The software (included) installed on your laptop or PC
Your AV cable.

Now we can begin

First, plug each of the ends of the SD cable (Red bit, White bit, and Yellow bit) into the Y Splitters…

Then plug the corresponding ends into the Dazzle (or EasyCap)…

Then plug the other ends of the Y-splitters into your TV…

Then the USB into your Laptop/PC…

And now the fun bit.

Start up your piece of capture software…

(The following is my personal experience, your experience my differ)

Make sure that the input is correct…

Select a directory…

Click ‘No’ to the Menu styles…

Select a video length and quality and then hit record…

After you have finished recording click ‘Stop recording’ and wait for the file to ‘Burn’…

Once the burning is complete you can unplug all of the equipment and put the .VOB file into Windows Movie Maker, Sony Vegas or any other .VOB compatible video editing software.
