Despite what people say, FIFA 10 is a great game. Yes, it has a few obvious and rather large flaws and bugs but the game as a whole is amazing. The new 360 degree dribbling mechanic is the defining new feature, with a lot of other improvements that make the gameplay the most realistic in any game to date. That is, until 2010 FIFA World Cup is released.
As far as what I can say about the demo, I’m quite limited. The only mode you’re allowed in the demo is Kick Off and you only have Italy and Spain to play with. I’m sure I’ll find something to talk about though. The menus are big and clear with each game mode having its own menu rather than a sub-menu in the Game Modes menu; it’s less clunky. The loading screen (I told you I’d find something to talk about) can be considered interesting above anything else. As the match is loading you are treated to some little gems of knowledge about certain countries. What’s next? Gameplay.
Basically, it’s what FIFA 10 should have been and a bit more. As far as I can tell from the demo all of the little bugs and imperfections with the gameplay have gone, most noticeably the way you can actually win headers in the box now. Overall the gameplay feels more realistic, as with every new FIFA game, and has improved in a lot of areas. The visuals have also improved and add to the realism. Be sure to check out the video below to see the demo in action (and to see Spain absolutely dominate me).

What difficulty setting, Hodgi?
Professional, I know, pathetic performance. I’m much better with Spain (on World Class)
The demo frustrated me massively. Only being able to use two teams, on one mode and, worst of all, only 2 minute halves, annoyed me.
I did enjoy playing but can’t say I noticed much difference from the other games.
And it’s still good fun playing co-op.
