Heavy Rain, the Interactive Drama from Quantic Dream, is a new take on gaming and the emotional experience that can be had by gamers. No longer is it just about progressing to the end and leaving a mass of dead bodies in your wake, we’re supposed to be emotionally involved in what’s going on.
Our actions and choices affect the lives of the characters, moving us in ways that we thought a game couldn’t. What actions would the individual take, and what would we do for love?
It’s because of this, then, that we’ve decided to give Heavy Rain a unique treatment. Instead of the final verdict being dependent on one person, we’re going to try and cover it from all angles. So, over the course of this week you will see a review of the game from all of us, showing 4 different perspectives on the game, and how we were each affected. Today, peespee will be sharing his thoughts on the game, tomorrow it will be me, Wednesday falls to mynameisblair and Thursday will see Hodgi’s review. A round up will be posted on Friday, gathering the main thoughts from the week and coming to an agreed verdict.
